Training Courses
The State Archives conducts a three months’ training course each year on Conservation and Archives Management for institutionally deputed and interested candidates. In this course both theoretical and practical classes are taken by archival officers and employees of the Conservation Unit.
Workshop and Lectures
As a matter of routine the Archivists of the State Archives are invited by colleges, universities and organizations dealing with records and old documents to deliver lectures and organize workshops on the nature of archival holdings and methods of their preservation.
In recent times this archival activity has assumed particular urgency owing to the UGC’s incorporation of Archival Studies as part of the History syllabus at both graduate and post- graduate levels.
